While I was shooting the Clovis Rodeo last week (blog post here) I noticed a cowboy standing on one of the fences above everyone else. I couldn't tell what he was doing with my naked eyes but when I looked through the 400mm, I saw that he was doing something on an iPad.
Lots of people have iPads, but needless to say, rodeos are not the most technologically advanced events. Some rodeos don't even have websites, most cowboys don't have smart phones, and dial-up AOL emails are common. So seeing an iPad surrounded by 30 guys in cowboy hats might mean that the iPad is well on its way to ubiquity.
