AL Champion Texas Rangers

Cliff Lee was supposed to put the Rangers over the top in the World Series,
but he got shelled in Game 1 and gave up a critical three-run home run to
Edgar Renteria in Game 5 that decided the Series and sent the hardware to
the Bay.

Covering the Oakland A's all season meant seeing the other AL West teams
quite a bit. I shot the Rangers a total of five times at the Coliseum. Here are
some of my favorite Rangers pictures from 2010.

Rangers medical staff work on Lee after he was cut by part of a shattered bat.
Lee was bloodied, but continued to pitch.

I don't subscribe to the "athletes-as-role-modles" maxim, but Josh Hamilton
is someone I admire for his openness about his battles with drugs and alcohol
and his dedication to helping other addicts.

Catcher Bengie Molina was traded from the Ginats to the Rangers where
he remained popular with Bay Area fans, even signing a bobblehead for a fan.
